Woodpecker Control Professionals
There are many woodpecker exclusion methods available to help you solve your woodpecker problem around your house, trees, and other structures.  To ensure that your woodpecker problem does not become a bigger problem, it is important to contact a professional woodpecker exclusion and control.

You can purchase special birdhouses to lure the woodpecker from your property or home. These birdhouses are their home.  By providing them with a better food source, you can lure the woodpecker to your property.  To lure them to new areas, you can use meal worms or jelly to lure them.  You can bait a tree that has fallen in your yard to lure them to the new house. This will allow them to nest in the same spot as you did and give them a safe place to peck.

Woodpeckers, and other animals, must find places where they can nest and hunt for food. We also have to cut down trees and build homes and businesses in areas where they nest.  We must find a way that allows them to nest and eat, but does not damage our homes or businesses.  You can give them a place to live without causing damage to your property with a little thought and effort.

Solid Avian Solutions will inspect the holes and determine if there is an infestation.  Then, you can remove the infestation and plug the holes using wood putty (or foam).  If the nest is still in springtime, you should check for eggs and hatchlings. You will need to wait until the birds leave the nest before closing the hole.  This is because these birds are illegally killed.

After you've identified the area, you can add aluminum strips to help them move to it.  This will help you discourage them from your side and encourage them to find the space you have created.

No matter what method you use, animals and humans must live together. We as intelligent species must ensure that they survive by removing their nesting and feeding grounds so we can build more homes and businesses.  You can provide birds with a home and ensure they don't damage your house.  As you enjoy your morning coffee, or relax in your garden, you can still enjoy these birds and their rhythmic pecking.

All woodpecker species are protected by the Federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
